If you have never heard of Hometown Tales, you don't know what you are missing.  Brian and Gene take all the little local stories from towns across the country and around the world and bring them right to your desktop in their weekly podcasts.  From Moroccan death worms, to dark secrets of your favorite sodas.  They find it and bring it to you with biting wit and a smattering of snarky humor.  I never miss and episode and have even contributed a few stories from my own Hometown.

So what are you waiting for.  Turn off the lights, settle in and get ready for a ride like no other.

Lollipop by 2NE1 and Big Bang

I blame my friend Kenny. He got me hooked on K-Pop music. K-Pop is pop and rock music from Korea. Even thought it is mostly in Korean (or Japanese in the case of J-Pop), there is almost always a little bit of English mixed in. It's catchy, fun, and usually completely over the top visually. This is just one of the videos I love. Other groups I enjoy are DBSK, Boa Kwon, FinkL Nami Tamaki, and Baby VOX just to name a few.

So enjoy the music and "e" you next time!

Press Pause, I Gotta Go!

Don't you hate going to a movie, sitting there and just when it gets good, you have to go.  What if you miss something important?  What if the person next to you won't tell you what happened?  What if it ruins the whole movie?  But you really gotta go.

RunPee has the answer.

Look up the movie you want to go see.  Get the exact times in the movie to get up and go.  Tells you what you will miss and how long you have to get the job done.  Never miss the big climactic scenes again.

So anyone wanna go to the movies?

The Butterfly Circus

I just watched this movie and it was one of the most stunning short pieces of film I have seen in years.

At the height of the Great Depression, the showman of a renowned circus leads his troupe through the devastated American landscape, lifting the spirits of audiences along the way. During their travels they discover a man without limbs at a carnival sideshow, but after an intriguing encounter with the showman he becomes driven to hope against everything he has ever believed. Starring Eduardo Verástegui (Bella), Doug Jones (Pan's Labyrinth, Fantastic Four) and featuring the debut performance of Nick Vujicic.

People of Walmart

This is a just a little frightening.  A whole blog devoted to pictures of people shopping at Walmart.  Now that might sound boring, but when you see some of these photos, you may laugh your poor head off.  Walmart attracts some truly strange and bizarre folks, and you can see many of them here.

Got Questions? Aardvark has the answers.

AARDVARK
http://vark.com/s/6Yfn
Aardvark is an online service that allows you to ask question via IM and Email.
Questions are then forwarded to members who are online who may have knowledge of the subject you are asking about. They can then choose to answer. Usually in around 5 minutes or so you will receive 1 or more answers.

All messages are sent through the Aardvark service so no personal contact information is exchanged. When you join you create a network of friends you trust who get priority when you ask questions.

I've been using the service a couple weeks and have gotten a lot of help. The answers I have gotten have been very informative and accurate. Unlike a lot of other question sites the goal is to get good, accurate information in a timely fashion and not just accrue points or credits for the number of answers given. So no more answers consisting of messages such as "I don't know" just to get credit.

If you use the link above you will be added to my network. If you want to join without being added just go here.
Hope you find the site is useful as I have.
