Well last night it snowed. Now it might not look like a lot ot some, but for us Southern born this is bordering on disaster. However it is a pretty disaster.

Gonna be busy for awhile
Hey friends,
Just wanted you to know I won't be around much for the next three months. Tomorrow I go to sign up for Cardiac Rehab. The first trip is orientation, but starting Monday I go full force. Twelve weeks of classes three times a week So each Monday, Wednesday and Thursday I go to Athens Regional Cardiac Rehab Center for an hour of exercize and then a short class in living with heart issues and avoiding any more of them. The hardest part for me is the nearest class is a one hour drive each way. So it will be about 3 1/2 hours a day. My last class will be March 31. Non Emergency Medical Transport is taking me so it will be a free ride. However, it means riding in a van, bus, suv, or whatever for an hour there and back. And I get car sick easily. (I can't take anything for it as all the usual remedies knock me out) So if I an very quiet, you know why. Love

sending anybody three French hens? Do they really come all the
way from France? It's a pity we have no chicken coops, but I expect

Dearest Edward,
What a surprise! Four calling birds arrived this morning. They are
very sweet, even if they do call rather loudly - they make telephoning
almost impossible - but I expect they'll calm down when they get
used to their new home. Anyway, I'm very grateful, of course I am.

The mailman has just delivered five most beautiful gold rings, one
for each finger, and all fitting perfectly! A really lovely present!
Lovelier, in a way, than birds, which do take rather a lot of looking
after. The four that arrived yesterday are still making a terrible
row, and I'm afraid none of us got much sleep last night. Mother
says she wants to use the rings to "wring" their necks. Mother has
such a sense of humor. This time she's only joking, I think, but I do
know what she means. Still, I love the rings.

Whatever I expected to find when I opened the front door this
morning, it certainly wasn't six socking great geese laying eggs all
over the porch. Frankly, I rather hoped that you had stopped sending
me birds. We have no room for them, and they've already ruined
the croquet lawn. I know you meant well, but let's call a halt, shall we?

I thought I said NO MORE BIRDS. This morning I woke up to find no
more than seven swans, all trying to get into our tiny goldfish pond.
I'd rather not think what's happened to the goldfish. The whole
house seems to be full of birds, to say nothing of what they leave
behind them, so please, please, stop!

And their cows! Is this some kind of a joke? If so, I'm afraid I don't

This has gone far enough. You say you're sending me nine ladies
dancing. All I can say is, judging from the way they dance, they're
certainly not ladies. The village just isn't accustomed to seeing a
regiment of shameless viragos, with nothing on but their lipstick,
cavorting round the green, and it's Mother and I who get the blame.
If you value our friendship, which I do (less and less), kindly stop
this ridiculous behavior at once!

As I write this letter, ten disgusting old men are prancing up and
down all over what used to be the garden, before the geese and
the swans and the cows got at it. And several of them, I have just
noticed, are taking inexcusable liberties with the milkmaids.
Meanwhile the neighbors are trying to have us evicted. I shall never
speak to you again.

This is the last straw! You know I detest bagpipes! The place has now
become something between a menagerie and a madhouse, and a
man from the council has just declared it unfit for habitation. At
least Mother has been spared this last outrage; they took her away
yesterday afternoon in an ambulance to a home for the bewildered.

Lovely Day
Today is just plain lovely. Not too cold, or hot. Enough breeze to prevent stuffiness, but not enough to chill. Air is clean and smells fresh. The sun is blind you bright and there are almost no clouds to be seen. Even the leaves on thr ground are colorful, plentiful and crunchy to step on. I would love to have more days like today, however, whatever kind of day I get, I will be thankful in it if not for it. Later Days

Just found a fast and simple way to get a straight answer to the question is it raining.
http://isitraining.in/ is all I need. Go to the site and enter the name of where you want to know the weather. Or make it even easier and add the name of the place at the end of the web address. For example for me locally it would be http://isitraining.in/Elberton Georgia.
The answer is a simple Yes or No and the page is bare bones and loads fast. Hope this comes in handy

What's up with my heart
I went today to see my cardiologist.
First he has put me on Nitro just in case.
I go next Wed, (Nov 27 at 7:00 a.m.) for a heart catheter procedure.
They said I should plan on staying overnight as if they have to put a stint in, I have to stay overnight for observation.
The doctor says there is a small area at the back of my heart that is showing abnormal activity.
The hope is that this can be fixed with the cath procedure.
If the cath cannot fix the problem, I will have to begin planning for open heart surgery. To say the least this has me a bit freaked out.
Especially since they said that if I have to have the open heart surgery I would have to spend about a month in either a rehab facility or a nursing home. Not sure but this could cost me my apartment if I am gone to long. So I am praying (and asking my friends to pray) that all will go smoothly and that the cath will be able to fix things up nicely. So keep me in your prayers. Love ya all.

RIP to a dear friend.
I found out this morning that one of my old friends had died.I had not seen him in years, but just knowing he was out there was enough.
I loved him like family if not even closer and now he is gone and my heart hurts.
Taj, you will be missed. Until we meet again.
