I went today to see my cardiologist.
First he has put me on Nitro just in case.
I go next Wed, (Nov 27 at 7:00 a.m.) for a heart catheter procedure.
They said I should plan on staying overnight as if they have to put a stint in, I have to stay overnight for observation.
The doctor says there is a small area at the back of my heart that is showing abnormal activity.
The hope is that this can be fixed with the cath procedure.
If the cath cannot fix the problem, I will have to begin planning for open heart surgery. To say the least this has me a bit freaked out.
Especially since they said that if I have to have the open heart surgery I would have to spend about a month in either a rehab facility or a nursing home. Not sure but this could cost me my apartment if I am gone to long. So I am praying (and asking my friends to pray) that all will go smoothly and that the cath will be able to fix things up nicely.
